Wishlist Meme
The Guidelines:
1. Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from something simple and fandom-related to something really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
2. Surf around your friends list to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy.
3. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
The Wishlist:
1. This goddamn headache to be gone, I've had it for over a week now and I am so fucking sick of it. Does anyone know some headache remedies aside from painkillers? Because I've tried painkillers and they didn't work.
2. More people to write Zat/Tim, come on guys! Zat's awesome and so is Tim and they go great together.
3. Textures for icon-making, I have trouble finding nice ones because there's so many places to look and more often than not I have to download something before I can see if I like it. So if anyone has any good textures, send me a link or something?
4. Postcards. Postcards postcards postcards. I love them so much. I don't care if they're touristy ones or non-touristy ones I absolutely adore them. If you feel like sending a postcard all the way to Australia PM me or drop me a comment and I'll email you my address.
5. Patterns for the dresses I want to make. It's really freaking expensive to buy patterns, especially when I only plan to use it once. Does anyone know like, an online resource for downloading patterns?
6. Music recs. I own pretty much every album of every artist I like (aside from a few new releases I need to purchase) and I want some new music. Bands I like include: Tegan & Sara, Amanda Palmer, Sleater Kinney, Muse, Foals, Phoenix, Arcade Fire, The Decemberists, Patrick Wolf. So if you can think of other bands/artists I might like let me know.
7. As an extension of 6: mixed CDs. They are one of my favorite things and I'd love to receive some and would totally send one in return. You don't even have to send a physical CD, you could just upload a selection of tracks and let me download them.
8. comment_fic to be more inspiring. Most days I don't even want to leave prompts and very rarely do other people's prompts interest me. Maybe this is my fault though D:
9. ZINES! Guys! Zines! I need them. My collection has been reduced to very few because I've been sending them to people and I haven't been able to restock because there haven't been any zine fairs and I am wary of buying things from distros because the maker doesn't always get as much money. Again this doesn't have to be physical, there are online zines, and if you know any good ones just point me in the right direction.
