So lets update.
Nothing of that much importance gone on with the exception of the Jacks Mannequin show so lets discuss that.
Wed. morning I woke up at 6 got dressed, straightened my hair and such and went to pick up Analicia. After I got her I swung by Kim’s house to pick her up also. Went to school up until the end of 5th period. Analicia and I split out of there and went to Wendy’s to grab some grub before we left for the show. We were going to go to 711 for water for the show but we decided to retrieve some from Aci’s house instead for wasting our money. We left her house and jumped on the ever so familiar parkway and started out toward the Downtown. It was went I was on Melville road almost about to turn on Main St. when I made a huge u-turn and started going back home for I realized the ticked where still hanging on my bulletin board. I drove back home and grabbed the tickets and were on our way back to the Downtown. We got there around 1. The show didn’t start until 6 and everyone who saw us said we were crazy. We nodded our heads a concurred. We where obviously the first people online and the next people didn’t show up until about 2:30. It wasn’t too long after that when it started to downpour. We were freezing and wet (and not to mention my then straight hair turned to its natural curls due to the moisture in the air). I came prepared with ponchos and an umbrella that didn’t last too long for the wind took it and turned it inside out. I luckily remembered I had blankets in the trunk of my car and we cuddled in those and tried to keep warm. It was around 4:30 Torie showed up. At that time not including myself, Torie and Aci there were maybe about 5 other people on line. It was around 5 when the 3 of us where talking and I was looking down the street and I see this scrawny man walking down the road toward us with his hood up and head down. I paid no attention at first but when I looked away I had a sudden urge to look back, so did. At this time the man picked up his head and I thought my myself “whoa this man looks familiar” he got a little closer when I realized it was no one other but Andrew McMahon himself. I didn’t say anything and I really didn’t have to for he came right up to Torie, Aci and I and started talking to us. He thanked us profusely for being there and supporting the band. He also proceeded to tell us about his laryngitis and how sorry he is that he had to cancel a show. He finished the conversation and went inside. We were let in around 6 and Aci, Torie, and myself scored a spot on the floor right up against the middle of the stage. The Blue Scene came on and they were amazing. The lead singer/ bassist, Luke, who was super attractive may I add talked to us for a little between songs and a little after their set. He was a very nice guy and I will definitely be going to more of The Blue Scene shows in the future. Wakefield came on after The Blue Scene and they too were amazing. Jacks Mannequin came on the stage and was setting up when I decided to get Andrews attention and start talking to him. We had quite the interesting little conversation about out tattoos on our hands and tattoos in general and how they fade. It was a little weird but cute. Their performance was absolutely beautiful. All the band members have so much talent, it was really amazing. And the atmosphere was great. It was a very enchanting and personal show. I loved every second of it. After the show Aci, Torie and I made the decision to leave the venue and wait outside for the band to come out. It was raining so we pulled my car up right behind their van and our plan was, when we see them come out, jump out take a picture, get a signature and jump in my car and go home. After 20 minutes of waiting we got a little impatient and decided to go inside and see what was going on. We went in the back entrance and sure enough there was Andrew talking with a few people by the merchandise booth. There was only about 10 people around so I leaned up against a wall/pole type thing and waited patently for my turn. He turned around and saw me just standing there with Torie and Aci. He asked if I was waiting for something I replied with the answer “just you” he quickly asked how he could help me. I told him a picture and an autograph would be really nice he of course agreed. I really don’t remember much of what happened next but I remember him telling me in the cutest voice ever “Well, your standing in the coldest spot in the place” which was true because I right by the back door. He took pictures with all of us and was about to walk away when I called him back over for an autograph he put an ‘oh yeah’ type look on his face and said ok but he didn’t have a pen or anything we assured him we had that covered and took out a sharpie. He signed stuff for us and shook our hands and such he than stole our sharpie to sign other peoples stuff. I went up and asked for the sharpie as nice as I could when I thought he was done and he handed it back to me but apparently he didn’t put the cap back on and I had blue sharpie all over my hand, a laughed and we left. We got into my car and went home. It was the most amazing day ever, it really was. All those 11:11’s, 3:33’s, 2:22’s etc. paid off for when ever I would see something like that or go over train tracks and even my birthday wishes were to meet Mr. Andrew McMahon and it came true. It couldn’t have been more stoked about the whole thing. I’m still grinning ear to ear just thinking about it.
