Don't get me wrong she's an important foil both for the plot and the underlying themes, but not like there's anywhere for her to go from here but back into a cage being, you know, a feral serial killer and all. Don't doubt she'd try to off Cosima and Alison in a heartbeat either and I'm not here for that.

I don't actually know if there's a fandom for this but it's certainly unpopular on Goodreads: I didn't really like Sherrilyn Kenyon's book Styxx. I didn't mind the actual premise of the story so much, but 700+ pages of mental and physical torture and rape (including child rape and incest) was WAY too much. For me, there is such a thing as piling too much on and when it gets to that point, it starts seeming contrived and loses its impact. When you combine that with an unsatisfying last 100 pages where everything was resolved way too neatly and I was just really unsatisfied. I did come out of it liking Styxx at least but you could have cut hundreds of pages of torture from that book and it still would have gotten the point that Styxx's life was crap across.
