There are things I dislike about it, but they tend to be broader problems with sitcoms in general (except for the tenure episode and the lack of women geeks, both of which...no). I don't feel the absolute rage over it that a lot of people do, and I'm a woman, a geek, and an academic--albeit in (oh) the humanities. At best, it's a fun show that I can watch when visiting family (who now have some vague idea that academics are real people, too). At worst, I grumble about cliches and find something else to watch. For me, it was that it wasn't just that it was very much not how tenure works, but that almost all the jokes in it (well, aside from Sheldon not understanding that he was being racist) were based on the show's (incorrect) notions of tenure.

I have admitted this unanon. The show definitely has its fair share of problems but it's also a lot of fun. That said, I haven't seen the latest season yet, so maybe it became completely horrible by now :P

I'm not super into it, but I think it's kinda fun. And I relate to Sheldon a lot, which is something I definitely wouldn't admit unanon cause it makes me sound like a jackass.

+1 and I'd add that Sheldon is my favorite character. I actually can't stand Howard, though.

I like Howard better than Leonard. I'd happily strangle Leonard and then tell his mother how therapeutic I found it ;)

I'm not a violent or aggresive person in RL but his behaviour - ugh.
