Nikita
(in full disclosure, I've never seen La Femme Nikita, so I may be way off base here and feel free to tell me if that's the case)
The Canadian sci-fi network (Space) is advertising a new show called 'Nikita'. Searching the title on Google has given me the impression that it is a remake of the (not really all that) old La Femme Nikita . Now, I am heavily relying on the information provided by Wikipedia via http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikita_(TV_series) on that and everyone who's used the internet for research knows it's not the most reliable resourse, so I have no guarantee of it's accuracy.
But either way, it looks like a rip-off of the (very terrible, even though I did enjoy watching it) Sci-Fi movie (and following TV series) Painkiller Jane. I don't know if it's the fault of the commercial, if they simply share a similar plot (military altered super-solders isn't exactly the most original concept) or if it really is a copy-cat, but that's how it seemed to me.
I hope I'm wrong, because odds are, even if I'm right about it, I'll end up watching it it it airs at a decent time and I'd rather not be embarrassed about it.
