Australia v England

Oct 06, 2007 23:49

England's attitude and aggression is to be applauded. Right from the start their forwards monstered Australia, and their power at the break downs simply overwhelmed the Wallabies.

As we have seen before, it was simply penalties that made up England's score, and one might criticize the fact they didn't cross the try line. However, those penalties were deservedly won by the dominance of their pack at the rucks.

England thoroughly deserved their win. 12-10 was perhaps a little flattering to the Aussies, but it kept the tension there right until the final whistle.
