Australia v Japan

Sep 09, 2007 11:20

Not much to say about this game. 91-3 and it should have been more. Hard to gauge Australia's performance against such a poor opponent. Wales is next. That should sort em out a little more.

For the record this 88 point margin is neither Australia's biggest win nor Japan's biggest loss in the World Cup. Australia holds the record for the biggest win in World Cup history when they defeated Namibia 142-0 four years ago. In 1995 Japan was on the wrong end of a 145-17 drubbing from New Zealand - the highest score ever posted in a World Cup match.
