1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before? I had a job to go to every day of this year.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don't do new year's resolutions anymore. I'll conquer my problems as they come to me. There's really no other way for me to do it. If I "make plans" or "make resolutions" to stop doing something bad, I never keep them.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Let's hope no one will have to any time soon.
4. Did anyone close to you die? Nope (knock on wood).
5. What countries did you visit? None this year. Hopefully I'll be going to France sometime this year.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007? a relationship. This question should read "...that you lacked throughout your entire life".
7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? This year had nothing spectacular about it. Honest. It was a boring year.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? I actually lived a semester without Ant being in the house. And it proved my expectations: it sucked. Having no one in your house who you can pour your heart out to on a daily basis is rough.
9. What was your biggest failure? I was late for practically everything this year. Classes, papers, work...you name it, I was late doing it.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I finally found out why I'm so shy about everything: social anxiety disorder. I'd like to thank every asshole who gave me a hard time about not being assertive throughout my entire life; a little blue pill proved to be more effective than all your nagging ever was.
11. What was the best thing you bought? a space heater for my place down at Temple. It's nice to be warm in a rickety, old house.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? nobody's
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? We've all been kind of stupid this past year in our respective ways. I'll leave this question at that.
14. Where did most of your money go? Rent/food (still hasn't changed).
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? going on anti-anxiety medication. Haha...it sounds stupid because it is something stupid to get excited about.
16. What song will always remind you of 2007? Wolf like me.
17. Compared to this time last year, you are: more fun.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? 2007: socializing (if i knew how in the first place). (I'm going to keep last year's there to show how I things have changed.)
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? fucking around on the internet (...that hasn't changed at all).
20. How will you be spending Christmas/Did you spend Christmas? family get-together at my house on Christmas Eve and then a get-together at my uncle's on Christmas Day.
21. How will you be spending New Years? Alright I'm late...I spent it at Ant's house getting wasted and I watched a drunk kid smash a brick into his car window because he left his keys in there. It was awesome.
22. Did you fall in love in 2006? I'm in love with all of you.
23. How many one-night stands? I've had one night stands with all of you...even if you don't know it.
24. What was your favorite TV program? Heroes
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? I like everyone more, actually.
26. What was the best book you read? Fun Home, Scott Pilgrim, Barefoot Gen, Persepolis. This was the year of the graphic novel for me.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Chinese/French rap.
28. What did you want and got? books I liked.
30. What was your favorite film of this year? I rented Kung Fu Hustle and I loved that.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I forget. I turn 21 in like 27 days so who cares?
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more exciting? a relationship (wow i'm not even gonna bother changing it from last year) IT'S THE SAME THREE YEARS RUNNING.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006? nerdy, old school videogame t-shirts. still hasn't changed
34. What kept you sane? all my friends. Someone has to put up with my psychobabble.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? This list is too long.
36. What political issue stirred you the most? I've cooled down on politics this year. No matter how angry I get, it never changes anything.
37. Who did you miss? Ant
38. Who was the best new person you met? Shawn. I actually made friends this year. It's nuts.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007: Life's too short to not take Zoloft.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"When I look in the mirror
Can't believe what I see
Tell me who's that funky dude
Staring back at me"
