also. maybe after the tarot collective & FSGG people should go to gaycation? just sayin. or. maybe i will be asleep reading a book by that time. ;)

The Collective Tarot: A Magical Collaboration announces the release of the long awaited Collective Tarot deck, book, and accompanying festivities:
Date: Saturday, May 17th
Time: 7:00 pm--10:00pm
location: 1914 S.E. Ankeny and 20th, above Citybikes, just one block south of Burnside.
We regret to say that the space is not wheelchair accessibe due to stairs and steep driveway.
Details: Decks of seventy-eight cards (created by some two dozen contributors) +accompanying booklet of descriptions, are going for a suggested rate of $15 apiece, with an official sliding scale rate of $10--$20. Any price you choose within that bracket will be a steal for such a jam-packed art/book/magical combination. This is a gift that keeps on giving, an object of magical importance whose potential is yet to be tapped.
The party will be an evening of magic, celebration, ceremony, and sideshow fun.There will be food, elixirs, dancing, somber moments, tarot reading, altars to each of the major arcana and the four suits, good times, an opportunity to meet the creators of the deck and the chance to take home one (or more!) of your own for future collaborative magic-making.
Contributors to the deck include: Sarah and Lola Kolp, Azsa West, Sarah Sass, Devon, Mat Defiler, Gloria, Valentino, Stevie Ann DePaola, Kate Dude, Freddie Fagula, Ellery Russian, Monica Villareal, Dana, Adee Licious, Jess, Brit Ashley, James Braun, Sacha marini, Annie Murphy, Jackie Davis, Clio
Sadie, Lori Lawrence, Miss Day, Charles and Esther.
We still need help! Please let us know if you have any interest in the following:
set-up, clean-up, altar arrangements (anyone can bring things to contribute to altars), decoration, food and drink donations. If you have a magical talent you would like to lend to the party (palm readers? aura portraits? spirit photography?), bring it! Please contact the Collective Tarot via myspace, or any of its contributors in person if you are friends, or friends of friends and would like to help.
