May day! May day!

I am not sure whether writing this message constitutes work, on this day of boycotts and walkouts and marches. Though, I admit, I have done some actual work today, so maybe it doesn't matter anyway. Rather than having a side on the issue, I'm more of a neutral bystander. It is an interesting time to live in California, and I am curious to see how the whole thing turns out. I don't mean to imply that I have no opinions on the subject, but my feelings about the work boycott are ambiguous. For more information, contact your local distributor of my opinions.

Spring marched through April, leaving behind a swath of change. The magnitude of these changes may not be evident for a while, but I will, of course, keep you informed as developments occur.

To me, the seasonal calculus of spring has a different form in May. Changes in precipitation slow, while fluctuations in temperature sometimes increase. May's affinity for summer seems much stronger (everywhere I've lived) than for winter. Summer is no longer a far-off dream, but a imminent reality. Grab an iced tea or a rootbeer float, put on the screen door and the porch swing. Summer is a-comin'.

Happy May Day!!! Happy May Day!!! Happy May Day!!! Happy May Day!!! Happy May Day!!! Happy May Day!!! Happy May Day!!! Happy May Day!!! Happy May Day!!! Happy May Day!!! Happy May Day!!!
