Zhenya is fired as best cat ever.
Zhenya knocked over her poop box today at some point. Since she couldn't get into her poop box, she had no option but to poop on the floor.
FIRED.
I cleaned stuff up and tried to rig things so she couldn't knock it over again. I opened the door to the bedroom, so she could see how hot the rest of the apartment is and she ran for it ("freedom!!") and then stopped like she hit a wall, right where the hot air met the cold air. She stopped right at the threshold, turned around, and gave me this look. "Mom, why is it so hot in there?!" And then she sat down on the bed and scolded me for a while.
So, back to serious things, Sanctuary is hot enough that just being in it for a few minutes feels horrible. Leaving the door to the bedroom open so I could clean up Miss Zhenya's mess, after about 5 minutes, the whole room was hot and nasty and the AC was already chugging as hard as it could. I'm a little worried that it might not survive the experience.

Is anyone able to stop by my apartment tomorrow during the day (it'll be hotter than hell) and check on Zhenya and the poor ac unit? Lemme know if you can, as I'll be at work the majority of the day, and I can tell you how to get in. (Thank you to folks who have already told me they can.) I really only need like two people, but you know. I worry.
