I've been putting off dealing with certain aspects of going back to school because I hate bureaucracy a lot. I went to PCC today to talk to a human in person and figure out what I need to do to register this coming Tuesday. I had a hard time finding parking, and then finding the Student Services building, and then finding the Academic Advising office inside of the building. I briefly went to the bathroom to stave off panic. (Yes! Go hide in a small room and collect yourself, Vera! Freaking out won't get anything done!) But then I got in to the advising office and talked to a very nice lady who waived a pile of prerequisites for me. All I need to do now is to go back in on Monday and take a short math exam and then register for classes on Tuesday. Booyah!
And then I went and signed a lease on my new apartment! I have keys! And I paid money! And it's mine now! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha!!!!
Ahem. Dignity. And all that.
So I did a small smudging ceremony to make it mine and drank a mouthful of whiskey to reaffirm the name "Sanctuary." And then Paul and I went and got dinner.
Next step: moving!
