orphans' thanksgiving

Nov 23, 2006 22:06

Tonight Matt and I went to an orphans' thanksgiving hosted by the folks who run my favorite internet cafe. We started off the evening with Resident Evil, then everyone was there, so we ate. J.me made much of the food, including the turkey, so it was fantastic. After food, everyone split up to different computers and played various games. Most people were playing Call of Duty. I played the original Oregon Trail for a bit. It's totally and utterly bizarre to play it and see landmarks that I recognize on I-84 driving along the Columbia River. And you end up at the mouth of the Willamette right where Portland was built. GAH! At any rate, it was fun to hang out with cool 20-somethings for thanksgiving.

fun, friends, movies, good things
