too darn hot
It's too late now. I can't give it back. There's this paper with my name written on it that says I'm a college graduate.
Brief recap for the kids at home:
-I attached cat ears to my mortarboard and a tail under my robe.
-I was first to receive my diploma out of the entire senior class.
-Folks gave C-Divvy ziplock bags full of superballs.
-It was about 900° out today.
-We had dinner at Papa Haydn's. (Where I saw a total of four other Reedies.)
Interesting things I got as graduation presents (by no means a complete list):
-an ice cream cone
-a card telling me that now I get to sleep
-a George R R Martin novel
-text messages from two of my favorite people
-the official guide to my favorite tarot deck
-the major arcana depicted as cats in Italian
-a block of glass with a scorpion etched into the center with a laser
-the CD of Osvaldo Golijov's "Ayre" which I just wrote a paper on
-a two week trip to Atlanta, GA
Currently I am holed up in my room with all of the windows open, two fans on, the lights off, drinking cold water, and wearing a cold water towel on my forehead. It's too darn hot.
