things what I have learned from piercing my cartilage
It didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. I've always heard that piercing cartilage more painful than just getting fleshy bits pierced, but it was a momentary pain not much worse than the other four I got. Actually, it hurt less than the one that the lady mangled when she couldn't get the piercing gun unstuck from my ear. It sort of burned and throbbed for a day and that really kept me grounded. There's nothing like pain to keep you in your body. I'm glad to have the reminder. Unfortunately, it keeps me in my body when I'm trying to sleep. I'll roll over on the left side and wake up. I'm learning sneaky ways to arrange my pillows so I can make sleep for more time without waking up with a jolt. Today I checked in the mirror and discovered that I have a lovely bruise forming. Hooray! I guess I need to put off taking a nice photo of it for a little while longer.
