Work is Love Again
We're watching "The Shining" (Kubric's version), and while I don't have time to post a whole review, I must say this -
Watching Shelley Duvall do anything (like, say, swinging a baseball bat, running up a flight of stairs or looking at stuff) is an excersize in frustration. Apparently she's of the school for whom "sheer terror" registers as "dumbest face you can make, with arms flailing as uselessly as possible at all times".
Otherwise a stellar movie.
