Contemplation

I know I suck at livejournal, but I'm kinda thinking about making a kinda big decision which I need to write out and get opinions on.

So I have been looking to the end of my lease and coming up with living options. My original plan was to work my butt off this summer, save money and get a one bedroom apartment ($650/mo rent, $20-75/mo electricity, plus internet, food, and all the other little things I need).

My parents brought up the idea of buying a cheap mobile home. Older mobile homes range from 3k-12k. Looking on Craig's List I found one for 12k. 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bath, Central Air, Stove , Refrigator , Deck, Newer Furnace, Washer,Dryer new windows

New Windows and Newer Furnace means electric/gas bills a heck of a lot less than my parents and is a really good thing. If the person put this money into the home chances are it's been kept up fairly well. Lot rent is $460/mo, gas/electricity would probably be $50-150mo. Which would be less than what I would be paying for a one bedroom. Problem is that if I took a loan out for 12k I've be paying about $200-300/mo in payments.

In about a year I'll graduate from school and if I can pass my national test and get a job I'll get about a $10/hr raise which will help with money.

THE PROs:
-Don't have to hide my rats
-Don't have to hide that my cat isn't declawed
-I can become the animal hoarder I always wanted to be
-Can have my treadmill
-Will have my own yard
-Don't have to worry about parking
-More room
-Good starter home until I can save for a big house
-Encourages my fantasies of babies and marriage in the years to come
-Don't have to go to my parents to do laundry
-Decent neighborhood that I am comfortable in
-Down the street from my parents
-Close to work/school

THE CONS:
-Down the street from parents
-Will have to get roommate or convince boytoy to move in with me
-Yard work
-Repairs come out of my pocket
-$$$$
-Depending on if I jump on this I'll have to break my lease and stuff and stuff... or I can wait for another month or two.
