And the days fly by. . .

Things are interesting. That is the key word. And I like interesting. Things are changing, too, which I also like. I'm leaving Starbucks. It's good, I was so overstressed. But I'll be back, I hope. I love my manager, my store, my team. I just can't handle a job right now. It will be a nice break. Plus I won't have to worry about finding a Starbucks to work at over the summer, which I would have had to do to keep my job. I can just BE in New York. . . .ahhhh. . . yay for not stressing out.

I got into Phi Theta Kappa. Awesomeness. That's the honor society for junior colleges. I registered for fall quarter. Political Science, online English Lit, Life Fitness (easy work-out-in-the-gym-whenever-you-want-and-get-credit-for-it PE), and Advanced Drama: Contemporary Scene Study. Okay, so I basically screwed over my Quarterly release form, meaning I didn't register for the classes that I agreed with my counselor that I would. But hey, it's not the first time. . . . and she didn't seem to care last time. I'm still getting my requirements in. I'm even on track for my Associate's degree. I have more than enough credits to graduate, already, and I'm not even a senior yet. Basically, why would my high school counselor care. Um, she wouldn't.

Oooh, yay for taking classes with friends, too! Maile, I am so excited that you are coming to BCC and that we get to take classes together. . . .I hope all of your schedule stuff works out. Kelsey, you should let me know what your schedule looks like next year. . . .hey, maybe all 3 of us could carpool every once in a while. . . .that might be fun.

I'm working a camp at the Studio this summer for 2 weeks, and I just found out that it pays more than Starbucks did and that I will be working 5 to 10 hours more per week than I did at Starbucks (it being summer and all. . . so I can do that. . . . yay for minor labor laws. . not. . well, sort of). Basically, I will make the same in 2 weeks that I would make in a month at Starbucks. Still, money aside, I love being a barista. It's fun. I love making coffee. I like interacting with customers, if I'm in a good mood. Not that you get a choice when you are working. . . . haha, baristas on prozac.

This might sound weird, but one of my favorite things about working in Starbucks is making foam when I steam milk. It's just one of those little things that makes me happy.

You know what else makes me happy?

Sleep

Good night
