GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS.
CHOCOLATE. Fucking chocolate. Fucking cherry almond dark chocolate. Fucking fair trade and organic and fucking $4. FUCKING.YES.
Things are...going a little too well.
I guess the fact that I have two mid-terms coming up on Friday hasn't quite kicked in.
So I usually don't complain about my housing situation. But it fucking sucks, just so you know. Regina has one of the lowest vacancy rates in Canada, so people can get away with charging $800 for a shitty apartment. So they do.
I'm paying $850 for my awfully maintained one bedroom apartment, and every six months, our rent goes up. It really pisses me off, but I don't write about it because it makes my blood pressure rise...
So good news. My mom's friend has a little suite attached to her house. It's quite a bit smaller than our current appartment, but she wants to rent it out to us for $500 a month.
Instead of paying for a damage deposit, we can help fix it up. Which is AWESOME, because I'll have the opportunity to paint it the colours I want.
I have no illusions that I'll be able to get it to look like the small spaces apartments on
Apartment Therapy, but having a bit of say on the re-design will be awesome.
Also, we're planning to go Vancouver for 3 weeks in May, so we'll probably move in in June. It will be nice to have somewhere to return to.
Brett got nominated to be the president of Engineers Without Borders U of R! He's not running, though. He's self-perceptive enough to know that he could probably not handle that kind of pressure. But I'm really proud of him, anyways, and he's being a bit of conceited ass, but w/e, he deserves it sometimes.
I got some awesome new socks, so yeah. I can't wait until I can go outside without a million layers.
I GET TO SEE ZIGGY TOMORROW TODAY. ;_;
Off to bed.
