Oh, Ama... I wish I could help you. I suppose with Raoul, I ended up realising that my love for him was more like the love of friends after spending time with Erol, but I don't think that will be any help.
Maybe you could... try to find a new sweetheart? I hope that doesn't sound horribly harsh, but it's all I can think of.

I'm not interested in anyone else here, Chrissie.

[Christine wants to cheer Ama up, but she can't help but feel that she's failing. Having never really been in this situation, it's hard to know what to say. It doesn't help that she's bursting to tell Ama her news...]
Reply
[She's flustered now, sighing. No, she doesn't need someone amazing, she just needs someone who can compare to him...]

[She says 'one of' because OBVIOUSLY Erol is the most wonderful. And nobody can have him but her. Despite the fact that nobody would want him but her.]

[No, really, she's blushing; Ama doesn't think she deserves that much.]

Besides, I have something to tell you that might cheer you up!
[Christine knows that she can't lock messages to save her life, and she should probably ask Ama to meet her somewhere to tell her about her engagement, but she's still incredibly self-conscious about her eyes. After covering any mirrors (and feeling rather like Erik must have in the process), she manages to almost forget about them most of the time, and the fact that Erol doesn't think her a freak helps, but Christine isn't sure if she's up to showing anyone else yet. Even her best friend. But... Ama will see sooner or later, especially if she's her maid of honour... Oh, she doesn't know what to do!]
But I have to ask you something first. I know it will probably sound very strange, but... Ama, if a friend of yours got... changed, somehow, and the change was that their appearance was altered in a way that most people would find strange - freakish, even - what would you do?

[The faerie pauses at the question, a little surprised. She's not sure why her friends asking this, but...]
I would see them no differently, nor would the way I treat them change at all; why do you ask?

[This is quite unbelievable, and Christine grins to herself. She has such wonderful friends, to have such morals. It makes her feel all the more wicked for how she treated Erik, but she'd take guilt over abandonment any day.]
I... it doesn't matter why. Would you come to my room so we can talk, Ama?
Reply
[The faeries confused and more then a little worried; why on earth had that been so important to her? Whatever the case, the faerie makes her way to the other girls room, not taking to to long.
Knock knock, Chrissie.]

B-bonjour, Ama. Come in.

[The faeries a little surprised, sure, but it's not to bad. She's seen much, much worse done with spells and hexes back home, honestly. She steps in, looks about the room for a moment, then turns back to her friend.]
So, what did you need to tell me?

But there are more important things to concentrate on right now. Christine has said this countless times to herself, but telling Ama will make it all the more real. The brunette grins at her friend excitedly, and declares:]
Erol and I are getting married!
Reply
[For a moment, all she can do is stare, thinking she was just hearing things. She... couldn't have really said what she thinks she said, could she? She couldn't possibly be... Oh God. She's torn between being happy for her friend and being terrified; she knows what Erol is capable of, but...
Finally, the faerie manages a mask of happiness, hugging her friend.]
T-that's great, Chrissie! When did he ask?
Reply
While he was sick. Oh, Ama, it really was romantic. I asked him if ever he thought he might love me, and he said yes! I knew I should probably leave it at that and be content, but I couldn't help but ask then if he ever thought we would marry, if he did love me - and again, he said yes!
Of course, I was satisfied at that point, and I did wonder when it would occur, but I didn't push. But, oh, Erol asked me himself! He proposed, while he was injured and must have been in so much pain... Is it not truly wonderful, Ama?

Y-yes, it is, um... w-when did you plan on having the w-wedding?
