Casting Picspam: The Harem

Jesleen cared about the Prince, and actually took time to speak with him instead of coo at him. She encouraged him, talked to him about possibly becoming a ruler someday, and the changes he could make. Red Riding Hood notices a few changes in the Prince, and knows what's helping that along. She makes up a story about seeing Jesleen kissing one of the palace guards, and Jesleen is turned into a Shadow for the crime.
Estelle has long been a favourite of the Prince, but she feels nothing for her so-called master. She infiltrated his harem for one reason only: to have the necessary access to hidden chambers in the castle. She sneaks from the harem whenever she dares it in order to slip away to the Shadow City and visit her sister, bringing the helpless there supplies and hope.
Emily Browning
Before she became the Girl with No Hands, Catherine was a simple peasant girl. But her beauty is noticed by an ambassador for the Queen, and she is promptly whisked away to the castle to join the Prince's growing harem. Knowing she can never love a man who can't be bothered to remember her name, she resorts to drastic measures and chops off her own hands, hoping that this deformity will keep the Prince at bay.

Deirdre is very loyal to the Queen, and very ambitious. She knows that the Queen doesn't want to give up her power, but figures that nobody lives forever and that someday, the Prince will become King. And when that happens, she'll be one of the most powerful people in Faerietale. She considers Snow White a threat to that plan-- she's much more prepared to take the throne-- but she isn't quite sure how to act on that dislike without alienating the Prince.
Rosario Dawson
Beckah was engaged when she was brought to the palace. Though she had no political affiliation beforehand, after the Prince destroyed the life she had planned, she became a strong radical, to the point where if she had the chance to assassinate a Royal, she'd take it. A few of the other women in the harem are friends, but she keeps herself closed off from all of them because she knows at least one of them would turn her in if they knew her true feelings.
Angel Coulby
Fiametta was noticed and brought to the harem when she was in her final year of apprenticeship with a master Potionmaker. She loves making them, and her main goal in life is creating a new one that'll be used long after she's gone. She adores the facilities at the palace, and spends any free time she has in the library or in the potions lab. She doesn't really care about the Prince one way or another, just sees sleeping with him as the 'job' that she keeps in order to keep pursuing her dream in the best lab Faerietale has to offer.
Stana Katic
Cybele grew up in one of the poorest areas of Faerietale. Now she lives in the palace and has all the food she could ever want, a generous monthly stipend for her family, and beautiful clothes and jewelry. She's incredibly grateful to the Queen and Prince for this opportunity, and is very loyal to them both. She's always happy and cheerful, which makes her a target for some of the others in the harem, who view their position as an insult and those who would enjoy it as weak.
Rose McGowan
The only thing Shani has ever wanted is to become a Knight. The most talented and elite of the guards, they combine magical talents with fighting skill. Most of them protect the Queen, Snow White, and the Prince; one protects the Shadow City. She was finally noticed, invited to the palace to prove her worth-- and on the way to the Throne Room, the Prince spotted her and said he wanted her for his harem.
She is not fond of him.
Emma Stone
Roxana is not actually a member of the harem, though none of the others know this. She was actually put there by the Queen, so that she can report back anything said against the Royals. She used to be a citizen of the Kingdom across the sea, and has seen what happens when people are given nearly-unchecked freedom-- fighting, constant disagreement, a failure to get things done. So she supports the Queen wholeheartedly, and is glad to be given the responsibility of keeping an eye out for spies in the castle.
