Hi everyone. I've been working at the greenhouse.. so I've been largely ... busy and tired lately..
But I have a question and want to ask your advise.
I was accepted to all of my graduate schools... I was offered a TA at Western Michigan which includes 5-6 credit hours (full time) and $10.5 thousand for 20 hours of work a week for 9 months. This also includes healthcare (well .. I have to buy it.. but it would be there) I was offered 80% scholarship at U of Cincinnati and was told that if I wanted a teaching job, I could go tell them and they would set me up with something.. which would probably pay for the rest of my tuition. Their full time is 12 credit hours and has quarter terms instead of semesters.
UC has a cryptography program.. but I wouldn't be involved in that until I go for a doctorate.. I think...
Western seems to have a fun topology professor.. which is one of the things I'm interested in.
Western has a smaller campus.
I like Cincinnati.
They both apparently have a good pure math program.
Cincinnati's faculty is largely male.. and many of them are foreign. (which I have nothing against..but it would be harder to understand them)
Western's faculty includes some strong female personalities.
I just don't know enough about either program or school to make the decision well. I would like suggestions if you have any.
Thanks
