If any of you here follow my other journal, I finished my cannibal book. I'm going through these pages like they're water in my hands. I really need to get out more, or find a more complex book to read. Maybe I'll start on Nietzsche or read more into the religion I was born into. Or maybe another one. i've seen it completely turn people around...as far as i can tell it's made every life that has touched it better. kinda scared of the other kinds. they dont incorporate all the teachings that buddha had sent out...so they focus on one thing, neglect the other, and somehow it turns around...no balance i guess. ive heard of all kinda of crazy things...there are even sects of buddhism that invoke the spirits of animals o.O ...end up in crazy rituals and people end up with the characteristics of these animals...personality-wise that is. i dunno. i think i'd have to see it for myself, but it sounds plausible if it came from my dad. there's just all kinds of wrong things you can do with natural laws of the world, and people seem to think that all of them are positive. or maybe they just so desperately want something extraordinary in their lives that they'll accept anything, whether it be good or bad. About your faith, I think you're totally right. It's good to keep it with you. If you've lost faith, hope naturally crumbles underneath it. If you've lost hope then you're not really living. The difference here is that all my hope is riding on me and me alone, and you've got a higher being to help with that. It'd be nice if there was a happy medium. I still fawn of those polytheistic religions. It's seems more like there could be many beings keeping many things in check, rather than one being handling all....hmmm...but he/it/she is supernatural so...*sigh* there's just too much of this stuff to cover.
