Hex Marks the Spot by
Madelyn Alt My rating:
4 of 5 stars** Kindle Read **
I got the first two books in this series from out of my Uncle's stash. He may have had the rest of them as well in paperback, but I didn't want to wait until we brought the next bath down to find out. ;)
Definitely just a light, fluffy mystery read that continues to entertain.
The end of this one was especially amusing in regards to her personal relationships.
Maggie kind of backs off from embracing her abilities as an empath in this one which was sliiiightly disappointing, but there was still a bit of the ghost hunter-y element to be found. Mostly focused on Boiler Room Bertie the library ghost. (I definitely hope that there is more to that in the following books, because I liked Marian the librarian and her take on it all. I was like, "You go tell those ghosts, Marian!" when she said she would just go in and ask them to behave themselves. haha.)
I did see the answer to the mystery a LOT more clearly this time though, so I hope that was just a fluke. The other two kept me guessing for a good bit.
Having more glimpses into their Amish community was also interesting. I hope that we see more of Hester and maybe Eli. *winkwink*
