I HAVE MY GCSE RESULTS AND I AM HAPPY!
This is somewhat of a miracle, because to be honest, I didn't think that would happen. I thought I would get my results and feel a sense of crushing doom. But no, I AM HAPPY!
And mum and Stuart will be taking me out to dinner to celebrate.
Religious Studies: A - I'm a little disappointed, because it's one of the subjects I want to take for A level, so I really should be getting an A*, but it's still an A. Also, the grade boundaries can be ridiculously high, so not too upset.
Drama: A* - Really quite surprised. My essays are good, I know that, but my actual acting leaves a lot to be desired.
English Language/Literature: A* for both - To be honest, while I'm happy, I'm not surprised. English is the subject I love. If i hadn't got A*s I'd have been very disappointed.
History: A* - This shocked me so much! I had a panic attack and hyperventilated during the exam, and there were things on the paper we had never even studied. I couldn't remember any of the American presidents during the Cold War, and I forgot how to spell Khrushchev. But I am so euphoric about this; it validates my decision to take it for A level.
Science (Double Award): A* A* - Once again, a tad shocking. I was sure my appalling physics practical and my inability to understand ions would drag me down to at least an A, if not a B, no matter how well Biology went. But I am happy with this.
French: A - Well, I was never going to get an A*, was I now? Foreign languages do my head in. An A certainly isn't bad.
Additional Mathematics: B - I would like to point out that it is impossible to get above an A in Add Maths, so a B isn't bad. Besides, I did GCSE maths last year, so I already have an A* in that.
Conclusion: I'm happy. I know some people will look at this and go 'a B? What a moron', but I think it's good. I have friends *cough*Rachel*cough* that got all A*s and one A, but I don't think I've done badly.
