Shopping expedition today! Most exciting, it was. My first stop was Sephora, for new mascara (in black) and lip gloss (in "Rare Rubies"). The former is wonderfully waterproof (it got put to the test today, with smashing results), and the latter is a deep, shimmery, translucent red, which is pretty near exactly what I wanted.
Next, I wandered over to Anthropologie and tried on a vast array of garments (at least, it felt that way). After much internal debate, dismissed the dress because...well, the truth is that I won't wear it much. I may still get it when it goes on sale, but for now, it's a no-go. Ended up only getting two new blouses (in emerald and navy (which is apparently not offered online), respectively), and a fairly amazing cami (in navy, to match the second blouse).
To conclude my outing, I went to see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Very Tim Burton. Blithely grim and gory. Very interesting music. Black comedy plus high tragedy...plus song. Always an entertaining combination.
