"You wouldn't understand. It's a secret."

It is quiet at work today. Most everyone is out of the office, and those who aren't are holed away in their workspaces, minding their own business.

I have about three dozen files on my desk, waiting for my attention. Unfortunately, almost every last one of them is a problem file, and I Do Not Want to deal with them.

That is largely why I am avoiding reading anything about the strike. I sympathize with their cause, but that won't stop me from getting pissed off that I'm working forty-five hours a week and barely able to support myself while they're NOT WORKING and still able to spend like money grows on trees. And also because, dammit, I miss my TV shows!

Every other month? Good lord. I've only bought two mascaras, ever, and the first was more than three years ago. I've only been using the stuff regularly since September, though, so. I'd probably spend the $150 a year, though, even if I did go through it that fast. I think my eyes are my best feature, and I've grown inordinately fond of how nicer mascaras emphasize them.

The one I like is Dior's Diorshow Unlimited Mascara. It accentuates my lashes nicely and stands up to rainy weather. Not tears, though, which is annoying with contacts. Maybe I'll try the waterproof version this time. Or perhaps I'll learn to play with something more complex. Primers kind of scare me, and I like the efficiency of a single coat, but it wouldn't hurt to try something different.

Thank you! I shall.

Wearing it five or six days a week does tend to use it up quickly. Also, you probably know this, but you should never keep a mascara more than six months or so; it goes bad and can hurt your eyes.

Ah, I tried a L'Oreal version with primer one time, and it was a HUGE nightmare. It got everywhere, and I had to wash my entire face and start over. My mother loves that kind though, so. D'you use an eyelash curler? If you don't, you might want to try one.

Ha, how appropriate is your icon?

I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip.

Yech. That's exactly what scares me about primer. It seems so messy. I don't use an eyelash curler, although it, too, would probably help with the short eyelashes problem. Do you recommend any particular kind?

Hee, yes.

I got a Tweezerman and I hate it. Then I got a Revlon one and it works, but my eyelashes only stay curled for five minutes sometimes. Bleh. I didn't want to invest $20 on the Shiseido one, but I may later.

Why you no want none of my musics? *sniff*

Hm. Good to know. I will let you know the results if I decide to try one.

But I do! V. v. much. I just didn't want to browse your collection at work (bored as I can get, I do try to preserve some small semblance of professionalism). And also, people are requesting like crazy, and I'll probably end up gleaning from their requests for the most part anyway.
