Look at
this. Am completely disgusted that the government is now legislating television. I do understand the reason for the subsidy, but I have to disagree with it on principle. The last thing the US needs is to encourage television consumption. Need more background. Has anyone any idea why digital broadcasting is now required?
Have spent some four and a half hours today listening to Adventures in Odyssey, which I have on loan from Emmie. It takes me back. I haven't listened to it in years - probably not since before college. Funny that it's all still as familiar as the back of my hand. I hadn't realised that we'd listened to it so much. Hadn't realised how much I missed before either. For example, there was an allusion to Cary Grant and The Bishop's Wife that I know I never caught until now.
Have been baking Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. They're not bad. Not great, but not bad. A little too dry, methinks. Next time, I should try increasing the ratio of dough to oats and nuts. Possibly increase the raisins as well.
