insomnia posts are better than none?

Sitting up at a wrongheaded hour watching Fringe is, I guess, better than sitting up at the same late hour staring bleakly and wakefully at the ceiling. Also, I need to somehow train myself to stop automatically turning down my alarm (it's set to Morning Edition at a blaring volume, so I can wake and be edified) so's not to wake other people. Except training myself to do or not do a thing that happens when I am in the weird existence between sleeping and waking is... I don't even know how to go about that, really.

(Seriously, though, my one conscious thought is must not bother anyone, and my hand fumbles out and turns the radio down low. This is ridiculous; no wonder I have so many problems.)

On the bright side, my prescription will probably be waiting for me at Walmart by morning, as the doctor's office called it in today (er, yesterday?). \o/

(SO MUCH SNOW, THOUGH; UNFIT FOR THE PERPETUALLY  FROZEN BICYCLIST. Perhaps I shall reward myself with some -- oh Hades, they haven't got Christmas candy any more; why can they not sell candy cane Hershey's Kisses all year round? Welllll, there's always some sort of chocolate, I daresay. I'd say "a hot drink at the coffeeshop afterwards" but that would require taking a detour, which I do not approve of in this weather.)

(This trying to be more of a presence thing is a bit odd.)
