Hello, denizens of Eljay! My holiday was lovely, just the sort of magical sojourn one needs to have at least once an October. The only downside was that the star-watching was not ideal. I've already seen a lot of these but the pictures are absolutely stunning, hon, and it looks like you had an amazing time! I've always wished I could pack up and hie myself off into the wilderness this time of year, but, alas, it's one of the busiest months for me. Jealous!

I... have no cool. None.

On the contrary, my dear, you have all the cool. ;-)

Glad you had such a lovely trip. :-)

Oh, lovely pictures! I especially love the one of your dad in the tree :)

(I haven't read The Last Unicorn in many many years, but it will always be one of my very favorites. And it will always prompt deep, melodramatic sighs, because gah! so perfect!)

These pictures are beautiful and quite enchanting! I am so glad you had the magical holiday you deserve.

The Last Unicorn is one of my favorite books - not only is it an excellent fantasy novel, it's an excellent novel. Period. One learns so much about life, about one's own self, simply by reading that book. Of course, the fact that unicorns and dragons and wizards inhabit that world only enhance an already marvelous work. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I take it you didn't grow up with the cartoon version from the 1980s?
