I feel I should preface this with some onomatopoeia: blllllghhhhhh. The state of my brain! It has become mush! I think that's because my coffee was funny this morning and I didn't finish it, and also because I went to a horrible grey and brown building to apply for a job... lifting stuff?... for the local newspaper, which... does not look too ( Read more... )

grr argh, panic: sheer bloody panic, pen in my hand, gallimaufry, college oh help, the astonishing adventures of me, musicianing

If my new hair colour looks amazing within a day I am very, very afraid. Because it usually looks fantastic if it looks like crap (and smells weird ... I don't miss that) for the first day or two. So I'm sure it'll look great. :)

Writing every day! Something I need to get myself doing. That's so good, though.

It is hard with family listening in. I can hardly practice in my house and I play piano. :\

I hate to suggest anything involving Myspace, but you might want to get a Myspace account for your music, just because...I don't know...it's another place to advertise? Might also try advertising more on Facebook--if nothing else you can set it up so a note gets posted every time you update your Come All Ye LJ, so then that would be one other way of getting a little more attention for it. You might also try using Facebook Ads--which does cost money, but I know I've seen several things that'll give you like $50 of free advertising on Facebook Ads if you're new...I used that for my blogs and had a halfway-decent number of hits from the ads. I think you can still get like $100 free Facebook-ads credit by signing up with the Visa Business Network (start with the Facebook app), which is free...I know they're still offering $75 free Yahoo ads credit, which you could also use. Shoot, no, they're not offering the Facebook credit anymore. But there are others, and...I was going to link to some but here, have some search-engine results instead... )

Oh, forums, that's another thing--I bet you could find lots of forums dedicated to music in general, where you could advertise yours (and for that matter take part in the discussion in general, with sig links), or even more general forums where you could talk about it, but also, the work-at-home forums I've used tend to have at least one place where you can advertise your business. Your music is...pretty much exactly that. Couldn't guarantee lots of hits, but it's certainly worth a shot.
