I had a busy weekend.  DH had state bowling tournaments, so we got a hotel room.  Justin went up with him earlier than me because I had a session with my personal trainer.  I gained a pound and lost maybe a half inch.  Oh well--I'm not discouraged because I'm feeling better, healthier and I know that it will come as we continue to work on it ( Read more... )

Thanks, I do keep telling myself that, which is why that wasn't the disaster that the full length mirrors were.

I've never understood the philosophy behind David's Bridal anyway. This last time was an exception to any other experience that I've had there where they completely disregard the bridesmaid and in fact, make her absolutely miserable. I flat out refused to even look at dresses there for my wedding because of the way I had been treated as a bridesmaid.

And if you are the biggest national chain in the country, why does it take 12 weeks for a dress? And should the bride select a certain color, why would you tell her that you won't guarantee it before 20 weeks? BTW--when I asked, they said it will arrive in 12 weeks. So they are either unnecessarily freaking the bride out, or we bridesmaids are in for a repeat performance of my last experience with them.

And why, again as a national chain--the convenience of which is that if you have bridesmaids in different locations, will they stress that all bridesmaids need to place their orders through the same exact store, otherwise the dresses may not match. I understand dye lots, but give me a break, the bride was told that all of her metro/suburban bridesmaids had to go to this one location--wouldn't they have a regional distribution center?
