So, I am partaking in my usual Friday night ritual of opera and lounging... It's brilliant. :)
For those of you "Not in the Know"... it's a program from Capital Public Radio in Sacramento (KXPR 88.9) that is a broadcasting of an entire opera, start to finish. And it streams live online at the same time. So, even though the radio reception is CRAP in midtown, I can still listen to it. You can find info here:
www.capradio.org/programs/programdetail.aspx. It is hosted by Sean Bianco. There is a biography on the website but I will tell you that he is a very talented man and a joy to work with. He is the Musical Director for LOTS (Light Opera Theater of Sacrameno) and although I know some peeps aren't exactly his biggest fans, I absolutely LOVE working with him. His knowledge and talent are greatly appreciated by this singer. :)
Anyway, now that I'm done pimping opera...
This week was definately a trying one. Probably because I'm hormonal... or something. Anyway, work has been a bit stressful because daily patient counts have been falling and collections are nowhere near what they should be. So the Doctor is, understandably, stressed... so the rest of us are stressed, too. T_T Plus, the front desk girl is getting on my nerves. She's got some stuff going on at home and with her mom. But she's still annoying and would probably still be annoying if that stuff wasn't going on. But whatever... she's better than the girl before her.
Christmas is just around the corner and I'm pretty excited. This is the first year I have ever had enough money to get everyone just what I wanted to get them. It's pretty awesome. And I was done with my shopping hecka days ago! Go me! I did most of it online at
www.etsy.com and all the stuff is wicked awesome!
Despite the excitement I have about giving everyone their gifts and seeing friends and family... I'm still kind of down. I don't want to go into details because it's not information that everyone knows but there is some stuff still going on that puts kind of a damper on my mood and what I thought this Christmas was going to be. I've talked to Katie about it and while I appreciate her encouraging words and understand that she's TOTALLY right, it still fuckin' stings. Like a bitch. I guess I'll just have to have some extra eggnog and suck it up. *shrug*
Well, I hope everyone is getting into the Holiday Spirit and ready to celebrate the Christians stealing a Pagan Holiday. *wink*
Merry Yule!!!
