I was told (TOLD) that I was VOLUNTEERING for a community service project for tomorrow morning, and that on Sunday, I have to be somewhere for a group picture!

I wanted to hurt someone.

I also have to go apartment shopping this afternoon.

And I need to find someone to take over my summer lease...

INFORMED would probably be a better word. Even more stab-worthy. Because "informed" gives the idea that it isn't the informer's fault. Like, "Hey, I'm just the messenger, ya know?"

Just like my father likes to inform me out of the blue that we are visiting my grandmother right now, and I'll be like "What?" (i mean, i don't mind visiting her, but must give me advance warning, right?"

Apartment shopping! Oooh! Do you plan to room with someone else?

Will the two of you be studying in the same university? I know you'll be doing your graduate studies in the Department of Biology of Texas A & M. (what's a & m?) Um, I hope I'm right, that is...

She's graduating from A&M same day as me, but not going to grad school. Her boyfriend is going to be getting a Masters in the Viz-Lab which is for computer animation (he hopes to work for pixar or something, I think). And she is going to be working full time to hand around with us.

Texas A&M is formally known as Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University, but it just sounds better to say A&M, unless you say it the old way. The Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas.

Either way doesn't matter. We are the leaders in science and technology for Texas.
