So we're back from our AMAZING class trip to Disney World, where I took far too many pictures. While there, we decided that Disney was worth the mother of all photo posts, so here goes, Photo Diary form.
WEDNESDAY: THE DEPARTURE ( m a y 25 )
We were on Group Two and met at the airport at 11:00 AM, suitcases packed and smiles on our faces. Then, the two-and-a-half hour long plane ride was Trivia filled. Scott and I owned with our various Code Names, but Keirstead probably owned more than we did. In anycase, "JJ" went down. When we arrived at the Florida Airport, they informed us that we were going to pick up our bags ourselves so that they actually came on time.
It took longer than expected (read: an hour), so while we passed the time, Francesca meditated.
After that hour had passed, they informed us that our bags were being delivered to our rooms, so we set off on our way. Karina, Jessica, Michelle and I checked into our hotel room at the Disney AllStar Movies (Dalmations) Resort and we spent the night at the pool.
THURSDAY: DAY ONE ( m a y 26 )
The next morning, we woke up bright and early and met outside Winnah's room to head off for Magic Kingdom at 8 o' clock in the morning. We caught the first bus.
And Freska, Brianne, Katie, Courtney, Kasey, Sarah, Jenni, Benna and I waited outside the park for it to open.
We made Keith take all of our pictures, all the time.
We managed to watch the opening show.
And then made our way into the park for a day of fun. We all watched the "Cinderellabration" show at Magic Kingdom because Britard was a disney virgin and needed to watch it. Plus, we all liked the princesses.
We first rode Space/Thunder/Splash Mountains, and we got our photo with Goofy. (Yes, Keith took this picture too)
On Splash mountain, Keith ruined the photo by flashing the camera, and one of the Security People censored the photo. We don't think he realized that Keith was a boy.
Benna got in touch with her chinese heritage.
We stopped for some photo ops. Brianne and Kasey were put in the stocks.
As were Benna and I. We were quite distressed.
Keith was put in the pillories.
Bri, Katie and I shared a teacup.
And we discovered that Sarah is a definite creep while waiting in line for "Pirates of the Carribean"
Benna and I had a quest to get our pictures taken with our Disney Princesses from Halloween, but alas, Pocahontas and Megara were no where to be found. However, Meeko was pretty damn close.
After a lot of fun, we headed back to the Hotel where we hung out poolside for a few hours and worked on our tans (and burns). Around five, we headed towards Epcot for travelling around the world and for the Class Pizza Party. We watched the "Honey I shrunk the Audience" 3-D show, where Jenni and I showed off our sexy glasses.
In Morocco, Sarah illustrated how being Lebanese is pretty close to Moroccan.
We then had to go to the class dinner, where we met JWells, Crappy, Thomas, Emily and Winnah outside.
The pizza was kind of weird, but we had a good time anyway.
And we got a class photo, but I'm standing in the back behind people, so it's pretty definite that I'm not in there.
And we had a suprise guest: Mickey Mouse!
Everyone was disappointed to discover that Mickey Mouse was, indeed, a girl. But Benna illustrated how she could be Mulan at Disney.
We then headed out to watch Epcot's "Illuminations" fireworks display. We had to wait for a while.
But the show was pretty neat.
They all coordinated their outfits that morning *cough*
And Jennifer Lynn is a certified creep.
And for some reason, my obsession with 3-D glasses continues.
Trevor and I narrowly made curfew that night, after having confusion in the bus line and running through the hotel. I believe I got in my room at 11:28 PM.
FRIDAY: DAY TWO ( m a y 27 )
Continuing our Early Bird trend, we departed a little past 8:00 for MGM studios, a little less energetic than the day before. However, upon arriving at the park, we discovered that it was STAR WARS WEEKEND. We had to sneak past storm troopers to get in.
Working the system, we rode the Rockin' Roller Coaster twice. We know how to use those fast passes.
After nearly dying on the Tower of Terror, we then discovered that there was to be a Star Wars Parade, so we plopped down on the sidewalk to watch.
Darth Maul attacked Court and Freska.
Then Benna, Katie, Jenni and I went to New York.
And Benna and I are so asian.
She bought a massive hunk of meat.
We went back to the pool for our afternoon rest, where we built human towers and pyramids, and Freska nearly killed a small child. That night, we went to the House of Blues for dinner to celebrate StevO's 18th birthday. There was a bit of a fiasco, but it all worked out in the end.
We waited in line to make the reservation.
The meal was wonderful, we sang and ate, and took photos outside afterwards.
Biron and Benna imitated Trevor while he was under hypnosis.
Then the girls set off for
Where some of us were too young to go clubbing. But it didn't matter, because we had our own dance party in the street.
