"When someone shows you who they really are, and it isn’t as beautiful as you’d imagined, you need to learn to believe them the first time." Things always seem to happen when; you don't expect them to/aren't looking for them to/don't really want them to/it's really inconvenient for them to. Murphy's law really has some merit to it, if you ask me. But even considering that, and as cliche and lame as it may sound, I have found that everything really does seem to happen for a reason. Whenever that one really good moment comes, I can look back at the series of unfortunate events (I have been using that phrase a lot since reading those books, which are amazing by the way and you likely would love, if you have not already read them) and see exactly what lead me to that one good thing, and forgive them all because of it.

While there certainly is merit to the "work hard for what you want" philosophy, sometimes, some things are too important to put too much effort into. I believe it was also Mark Twain who said "Life is far too important to be taken too seriously." In my experience, it is when you stop worrying, when you stop looking, when you stop stressing over certain things that what you had been looking for will find you.

I hate trying to sound worldly. Feel free to ignore me entirely.

And though I am and likely will continue to be absurdly busy, I stand by my statement that we should hang out sometime in the near future. It's been too long since we've actually gotten a chance to talk.
