As always, Tory's visit was a ginormous adventure. She spontaniously called to see if I wanted to hang out, because she needed a couple days vacation. When she arrived, we went to Warren and hung out with our boys. We got back to my house at 1 and woke up both of my parents while we cleared the guest bed of all this Christmas crap. Somehow they never complained. They can be cool, I guess.
Tory wakes up super-early, so we kinda just hung around till 10, when we met up with a very sleepy Whittier at Stafford Grill. We had Greek Omlettes and Chocolate milk! Chris likes this Tory more than the one in his office, which happens to be a snobby cat. He gave me my Christmas present (2 Care Bears DVDs!) and played a mean song about me, which Tory tried singing this morning, and got stuck in my head. Then I went to work and Tory had an adventure in Providence.
Her car broke down near Attleboro, which led to complications, and an unexpected plan for yesterday evening. When I got out of work, I got to hang out with Mike (from 80's night), Kenny, and Chris/Manuel/Roger (he has a couple fake names, and I like them). Then we went to Kyle's house in Fall River and hung out for a bit before we went to 80's night.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention that there was some pretty hardcore snow, and that my cell battery was dying. So anyhoo, we went up to hell (oh my gosh, it was frozen over!) and had a very good time. When we left, there was a humungous snowball fight (instagated by my friends, of course), but it eventually morphed into several individual snowball fights scattered from the club throughout the parking lot. I've never seen that little spot look so beautiful as it did in the snow. It was falling thickly from the dark sky, collecting on the whitened pavement, the streetlights and neon signs lending a bright glow, and all these people spilling out of the building and across the lot. I wish I'd taken a picture... Providence looked like a diffent place entirely.
I was saying goodbye to Tory's new friends when somebody's renegade snowball hit me in the eye. It was a muddy one, too! And since I didn't have a contact in that eye, I didn't percieve it coming and neither ducked nor flinched. I couldn't decide if I was alright or not, and even tho I probably was not, I wanted to be happy at the moment, so I decided I was fine.
Kyle let Tory and I spend the night at his place. Tory fell right to sleep, I think, but I made it through Futurama and ATHF before a show I didn't understand (Inuyasha) came on, and I fell asleep. 3.5 hours later, it was 7, and we had to get up, because Kyle had to go to work, and Tory had to see to her automotive repairs. So Kyle drove us to my car, and even helped clear off the snow, and then I drove to Attleboro, where Tory and I spent the day waiting for her car to be repaired, and having many a splendid adventure. We got out of there just in time for me to fly back to Tiverton, for my eye appointment. I have 2 contacts in, now.
I took a nap, and didn't go out with anyone who invited me, because I'm exhausted and boring. But we thought of an amazing way to deck out my car (internally- it must remain a hunk of junk externally) and I can't wait to get started.
