This first one is a
Nellie McClung quote about activism:
“Never explain, never retract, never apologize. Just get the thing done and let them howl.”
I like this quote, even though I wildly disagree with it, because the ideas it represents about activism seem to me like they have been so broadly represented of late by many different directions. The idea that activism is about unapologetic statements, but also about demanding apologies, is fascinating and contradictory to me.
There is a LOT more I could say about this topic, but I should probably refrain while on my lunch break. I am curious what other people have to say.
