Yay
Just received an email...well, it came 3 days ago, but I just checked it. I was selected for the Graduate Health Science award, unanimously by the faculty. I get a little plaque for myself, and my name will be added to one at the school.
I kinda really wanted the award. When I saw they had scheduled the date, but I hadn't been sent an email, I figured someone else may have been selected. Which would be fine. Honestly there are some people doing great things in their field already...I'm just a little delayed. :)
I forwarded the email to rob, who is now in California, and he said he'll attend the ceremony. Which means he'll get to meet my Super Awesome Advisor then, too.
I also sent a bunch of resumes to temp agencies on Friday; already received a phone call to schedule an interview with one. Hopefully I will start work next week. But, it also means I need to hurry up and finish my thesis.
OMG, my thesis. I just need to get the damn thing DONE. I keep rereading the same literature review over and over again. I also have a mid-term due for my class with Agley tomorrow night. I don't even think he reads my work anymroe...I think he just gives me the A.
I want to email Radius and say look, you know I'll get an A if I do the work, I know I'll get an A. How about you just give me the A and we save ourselves a bunch of grief? :)
