sick, but genki!
So...
I had a horrible sore throat yesterday and my concentration was nil. I had a hard time sleeping, so much so that I cancelled my afternoon of awesome with chibi and stayed home to rest. But then! I took some Tylenol, which I pretty much never do because of the weird things it does to me, but I survived with no weird things and I actually started to feel better. My headache has moved on, my throat is just a little scratchy, and my ears are a bit blocked up, but I've definetely felt worse. So Josh and I went in search of more Tylenol cold daytime...low and behold, I saw....I saw...something really cool! ^_^ There's a game shop in the parkway shopoing center now! Huzzah! I can walk there from the apartment, and the guy who owns the place is really really nice. I'm hoping he will consider hiring me in a few weeks. The shop's aparently only been open for about two weeks, but this is there new location, before they were at five points road.
But they have Munchkin, apples to apples, lots and lots of board games that I had only ever heard about in passing at showcase. They also sell the traditional magic cards, and such, but they have open board gaming nights every Friday and Saturday. Thursdays are Magic, and Sundays are D&D or Shadowrun. I can't believe it. A place that runs SR!! We spent about an hour just looking stuff over and talking to Carl, the guy that owns the place, and Todd, who seems to live there. And I am excited!
