End-of-semester stuff (except basically none of it is about this semester)

So on Saturday, I auditioned for another play. I've been complaining about the fact that I can't stay for wintersession because choir tour is ten days in the middle of it for pretty much the whole semester. So finally I decided I would just audition for A Little Night Music, making sure the director knew I would be away for tour, and see what happened.

What happened is I got the lead. Again. I will be playing Fredrik Egerman. Which kinda rocks. A lot. The play is only partially cast, as yet, and I can't wait to see who the other parts are, particularly as some of the people I most care about in the cast are not yet cast. argh.

In other news, my wrist is playing up again. (I'm not sure if you all know, but every so often it does this thing where it hurts to bend my left wrist.) This time, I am seeing the effects of Titus. Not on the wrist itself, but on me in general. Before, when my wrist would play up, I would wear the brace, but otherwise pretty much treat the arm as usual. Now, I have taken to holding it tight to my body. This is because, in Titus, I chopped off my left hand. And then spent the rest of a quite long scene with my arm held tight to my body, usually gripping it with my other hand.

So, to return to the original topic...

Reasons I am excited about Wintersession:
-I will be in a wonderful musical
-I will not have classes interfering with said wonderful musical
-a lot of amazing Shakers (members of the Shakespeare Society) will be around
-my best friend on my hall will be around
-I will be helping make "pretty and historical" costumes for above wonderful musical
-choir tour is said to be amazing, and it probably is; the concept is rather Village Harmony-esque
