I handed in my Project Managment Package for PIP yesterday. No more assignments, undergrad is done. Marks don't get released until Dec 22 (there's a crappy Xmas gift for you), but I feel pretty comfortable with it all. My god, I have a Bachelors degree!
Of course, I can't get into Holiday mode just yet. I'm going to attempt to get some of my fiction work published, so I need to polish that and submit to the UTS Writers Anthology by Friday. I also have 2 weeks to write my Honours application and thesis proposal. There's a proposal-writing workshop on tomorrow night after work which should help with that a lot though :)
Pam's service last week was lovely. It was good to be able to say goodbye to her, and to reconnect with some of my family since I don't see dad's side very often. That night we all went out to dinner. Nick and Gina (Pam's kids, my cousins) didn't go so I was the only one in the room under 50, but I still had fun and held my own with the aunts, uncles and 4th cousins twice removed whom I barely remember meeting when I was 5. It was a pleasant end to the brief trip, seeing as it started with me flubbing my presentation on Monday, sitting in the plane on the tarmac for 2h because a storm closed the airport before we could take off, the heel of my shoe breaking as I exited in Melbourne, and having a brand new cabbie who didn't know where he was going and tried to kill me by driving the wrong way up a one way street and then crashing into the curb when trying to U-turn out of it. I managed to aquire new shoes the following morning before the service in a run of pure good luck, and I have to think that it was Pam smiling over me because she loved to shop and she loved a bargin.
It's also Nana's birthday today. I miss her and Pop so much.
