A golden bird that flies away, a candles fickle flame

Uni is still trying to kill me with overwork and sleep deprivation. 3.5 weeks to go... and then another 2 weeks of Honours prep. Bah. Sleeping is scheduled for sometime December, between family visits and my two jobs. Fuck.

Spent yesterday doing recruitment interviews for PN. Met some interesting people, and some very strange ones. Start my admin training for the new job with Sabi Friday next week which is scary. After interviews we went to dinner in the city with a few other PNs and I dragged Adam along since the place we were going is practically across the road from his office.

During the train ride home and for a little while after, I bounced fic ideas off Adam for an upcoming creative writing assignment. Which resulted in my getting a plot bunny at 11:30ish at night and staying up until 3am when I was already exhausted so I could get words out and not lose them in my sleep. I finished the piece this evening after work and I'm quite pleased with it, although it's still quite rough. Feels good to be writing again (and to be closer to the end of another assignment too). I'm going to polish it a little tomorrow and then try and wheedle ali_wilde into betaing for me (again).

I still have a list of reports and articles to write, project and handover packages to create and classes and meetings to attend. I'm debating skipping class tomorrow because I'm just so damn tired and I really want a whole day where I don't have to go anywhere or see anyone. Because it's coming to the end of the semester and the year, the Union has a whole bunch of events coming up which means extra shifts that cut into my study time, and event shifts usually means running around organising or standing around collecting tickets and directing people, not sitting on my arse studying between customers like I do at the desk.

pip, honours, fictional forms, uni eats my life, writing, peer, 3rd year, pn gig, union
