HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!
It's New Year. Kinda obviously, since the year has changed and stuff, but stating the obvious is good. very good in fact! AND...because of inaccuracies in the Georgian calendar, there was a leap second last night. So last year wasn't just 31536000 seconds (yes I was sad enough to find that out!), but 31536001 seconds long. Isn't that exciting. Instead of adding a whole minute or an hour or a day or something, they add one second on.
Well, Christmas was fun. My auntie who now lives in New Zealand is visiting, along with her VERY kiwi husband, and their nearly-three-year-old daughter. Who hasn't seen any of us since last year when they visited, and therefore doesn't recognise anyone.
After Christmas hasn't been so fun though. Because I am definitely moving away for university, my room is going to be empty for 10 weeks at a time, three times a year. Or about that anyway. So Mam told me that when I went away there would be changes. Which is fair enough. She then told me that my little sister would be relocated into MY bedroom, because its bigger, even though she hates the room, because she would be living here, and I wouldn't come back. Which I would be doing. Every ten weeks for two years, and staying for however long student holidays are. And then yes, there may be a year where I maybe wouldn't come back so often, because I would be abroad, but the 4th year I'd be coming back for holidays. HMPH. I wasn't impressed...AT ALL.
And on the wonderful subject of university, I have had a nice second year entry offer from Heriot Watt. Because they read my application wrong. I'm not sure whether or not to be grateful for their incompetency. And I have been told by a hugely reliable source (i.e. a very clever person) that I have to have Liverpool as my insurance place, because my offers are too similar to each other. Don't get me wrong, I loved Liverpool, and liked them even more since they had the most confidence in me, and decided they wanted me definitely in about one week after getting my application, but I'm not sure. I am USELESS at making decisions. Maybe that should be my New Years Resolution - to be more decisive. I'll NEVER keep that one though!!!!
