Ithaca is such a wonderful place to know people...
So I was up in the worker's rights center talking to alan and sabine about how I'm freaking out because I don't have enough money to move, and bob the RIBs guy was there and said he was looking for people who need a place because he's trying to set up some kind of cooporative housing thing and he said there'll probably be about 4 or 5 people there and rent should be cheap and I won't have to pay security. he said as long as I don't mind living a little ways out of town (which really isn't that far anyway, it's just not near the commons or anything, it's way up on the hill) which actually works out for me because I'll probably be working at the CTB on top of the hill in collegetown (that's what dan said last time I talked to him) and he's getting me a bike to for helping out with RIBS, and he said he was looking for people to move in at the end of july which is when I need to move out so it's perfect timing. I feel so much better now... it's really crazy how things seem to work out here... I guess I'm just lucky, right? weird. :D yay!
but yeah, more about the crazy guys... just because someone's an alcoholic or a junkie or went to prison, that doesn't mean they're a bad person. A lot of the alcoholics I know truly are good people, they're nice and they really do care about others, they just have an addiction for whatever reason and it's really hard for them to break that. it's depressing. I don't want that to happen to me.
