I'm not the best equipped for doing computer tech help *blush* especially in regards to web server/programs that I don't have myself. So I'm extending a request for help from a friend online ( Read more... )

Which OS are they using?

Easiest way, really, if they remember what it's called is to go to:
START
SEARCH
For FILES OR FOLDERS

Type in the name and sit back and relax.

If they don't remember the name, just search for *.mp3 and it'll show all of them.

I don't use Firefox so I don't know the settings but it's usually in the OPTIONS section somewhere...

I hear it's excellent for system safety but it sounds dreadful in the user-friendly category.

It's not bad.
I've liked it for a lot of years.

I'll be switching to XP next week just 'cause '98 is no longer supported by Microsoft and it's about time I upgraded. I've also had issues with my latest 98 so... it's time.

I also want to use more RAM and a bigger HD than 98 will allow.

Oops, sorry I was referring to filefox due to the glimpse I gathered of the process; fewer options in prompt boxes for saving files makes it look difficult to organize and find things from the user's standpoint.

in firefox go tools - options - download

you can choose to have it ask everytime or always save someplace.

also... ctl-j or tools downloads will bring up a box with all your downloads or last few and you can open from there :)

hope it helps

I've changed the options on Firefox so all downloads go into 'My Music', I've downloaded the zip program you've given me.

I'll test out tomorrow with some downloading, and hope all goes well.

Thanks for all your help, my lovely.

Glad to help. Goddess knows my computer has often survived demolition by a thin thread of patience - if not for the anticipation of enjoying the rewards of a task once accomplished it would be with the bodies junk in the basement by now. *looks innocent*
