Feelin crappy
Minion is failing her class right now... because of homework. She's getting A's and B's on her quizzes and tests, as well as her class work, but is getting an F on her homework. Overall grade.. D.
I was astounded.. she'd been telling us that she'd done her homework at school already.
Now, she spends two hours after school every day, only to still have homework that she has to try and finish in about two hours in the morning.. this morning she didn't get it done..
What takes up all her time you ask? She's playing volleyball and going to her afterschool program. She already understands that she has to give up the afterschool program, but I'm not sure that's enough. We told her way back that if she can't keep up a B average in her grades then she can't play sports.
I feel like such a mean person cause now I have to pull her from volleyball.. she just isn't putting the serious effort into her homework that she needs to.. and hasn't proven to me in the two weeks since we got her progress report that she intends on dragging those grades back up..
She's going to be pissed when we tell her that she can't play volleyball anymore... but I don't really see any other option... she was saying yesterday that she needed a tutor but couldn't answer me as to when during the day she'd be able to see one..
*le sigh* I hate being the responsible parent..
BTW. Tyler hasn't called to talk to her since they moved. Didn't even call to tell her that they made it okay.
