I just bought this for my new apartment:
I really really like it. Not sure where it's going to hang yet, but I'll figure it out. It's by a Brazilian artist named Henry Lichtmann. Hurray for original art! Now I just need to find more stuff. This apartment has a lot of walls!
So this is the new apartment. Not to sound like a real estate agent, but the pictures just do not do it justice. It's super clean and all of the fixtures are new. And best of all, there are counters in the kitchen. Hurray!
After a two month search, Dan and I found the perfect apartment in Long Beach. It's really nice, only a block or so from the beach, around the corner from our friend, and pet friendly. Hurray!
So! We have the keys, signed the lease, and can start moving in whenever we want. Here are some quick pictures I took of the apartment today while Dan and I were over there checking it out.
Not to sound like a real estate ad, but the pictures do not do it justice!
This is the living room. It's a pretty good size, and the floors were just redone. I'm not crazy about that ceiling fan, but I figure I just won't ever look up. ;)<
Reverse shot of the living room. I have no idea what Dan is doing here. This gives you a little idea of what the layout of the apartment is. To the right, you can see the kitchen. Dan's standing in the entrance to the hallway to the bedrooms. And the entrance to the apartment is off to the left.
This will be the guest bedroom/office.
Master bedroom
Here's the balcony. It's off of the kitchen. I'm going to grow a little herb garden out there. Very excited about that.
And the view from the balcony. It's not the beach, but hey, it's not bad either. :)
