Earthquake in Illinois.
Despite living in California for 8 years, the first earthquake I ever felt was a 5.4 in Illinois in 1968. They were often bigger and happened much more often in California, to be sure.
It looks like the epicenter was 1-1.5 hours south of Champaign. I've sent inquiries to friends back there and eagerly await stories.
