Today was a happy day for me, as the 6th novel in the Meredith Gentry series (which I lovingly refer to as my 'faerie smutt' series) by Laurell K. Hamilton came out. A Lick of Frost, it's called.
I finished it. Completed, finito, it's done. I read the whole thing today. This was not difficult for me, as it only had 274 pages. I mean, really. I read about a page a minute (once I get into something, I'm a bit slower than that at work) so it's what... about 4 1/2 hours of reading for me? ::laughter:: That's nothing.
Though I am sad that the book was so short in length, I am positively thrilled with how much plot we got through.
Now, I'm just hoping that the ending to book 6 is not the end of the series. Because, although it could end there and probably be just fine.... oh, there is so much more I want to read!!
Please, please, please have more plans for my faery smutt, Laurell. Otherwise, I will sorely miss these characters, their lives do not currently feel complete.
